"Rights at Stake: Bandipora Hosts Pivotal Legal Awareness Program”

In a proactive step towards promoting legal awareness, the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Bandipora, in collaboration with Tehsil Legal Services Authority Sumbal and Government Degree College Sumbal, organized a comprehensive legal awareness program on April 16, 2025. The program focused on critical issues such as domestic violence, property rights, and workplace discrimination.

The program was attended by prominent dignitaries, including Mr. Khalil Ahmad Choudhary, Chairman DLSA (Principal District and Sessions Judge) Bandipora, and Ms. Shabeena Iqbal Shawl, Principal Govt. Degree College Sumbal. Resource persons Advocate Irshad Ahmad Dar and Advocate Aabid Hussain Malla shed light on domestic violence and property rights, respectively.

The program highlighted the importance of legal awareness in empowering communities and promoting justice. By educating individuals about their rights and protections, such initiatives can contribute to a more just and equitable society.
