Srinagar, May 9: Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Manoj Sinha on Friday said that Indian armed forces are fully prepared to respond to any situation following a series of drone attacks by Pakistan targeting military sites across the region.
While speaking to reporters during his visit to the Uri sector to assess ground conditions, LG Sinha stated, “Pakistan attempted to escalate tensions, but our forces are fully capable and ready to tackle any challenge.”
He also emphasized the administration’s focus on minimizing civilian hardships. “The J&K administration is committed to ensuring that residents do not face any inconvenience. I personally visited border villages affected by the shelling and drone attacks. Ex-gratia relief has been extended to the injured and to the families who lost their loved ones,” he added.
LG Sinha noted that a detailed assessment of the damage is underway. Highlighting the vulnerability of residents in border belts, he announced that new bunkers will be constructed soon to improve safety and preparedness in these areas.
