NC its Allies Passes Resolutions Against Waqf Bill, LG’s Decisions
Says Coordination with Delhi and LG Should Not Be Seen as Weakness

The Jammu and Kashmir alliance led by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah passed two key resolutions during a high-level meeting, opposing the Waqf (Amendment) Bill and recent administrative decisions by the Lieutenant Governor.
The decision was taken after an emergency meeting of the Chief Minister’s alliance partners began on Thursday evening as Chief Minister Omar Abdullah drove to Fairview Gupkar, the official residence of the Deputy CM, to chair the session.
Addressing the media after the meeting, NC MLA Tanvir Sadiq, as per news agency JKNS, said that the alliance strongly condemned the Waqf (Amendment) Bill, terming it "anti-minority and anti-Muslim.” He expressed concerns over its impact on Waqf properties and the larger Muslim community in J&K.
