Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha engaged with IAS Officer Trainees of the 2025 Batch, sharing profound insights on governance, public service, and Jammu Kashmir’s transformative journey. The trainees, on a 5-day Winter Study Tour, were part of the Bharat Darshan Programme at Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA), Mussoorie.
Highlighting J&K’s progress in sectors like infrastructure, energy, and tourism, Sinha urged the future bureaucrats to prioritize people-centric governance. "Governance is about empowering people, not just administering,” he emphasized, calling for inclusive growth and innovation.
The group, led by Shri Umesh Kumar Meena (Rajasthan Cadre), included officers from Haryana, West Bengal, AGMUT, Tamil Nadu, and Andhra Pradesh cadres. They visited Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine, Salal Hydroelectric Power Project, Bari Brahmana SIDCO Industrial Area, and the India-Pakistan border, gaining firsthand exposure to J&K’s developmental landscape.
Dr. Rakesh Minhas, Deputy Commissioner Jammu, and other officials joined the interaction, focusing on sensitizing trainees to governance in diverse environments. The visit aims to shape their professional acumen and commitment to public service.
