J&K Youth Take Center Stage: LG Manoj Sinha Flags Off Contingent for 29th National Youth Festival

Jammu, January 7 – Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha virtually flagged off a 53-member youth contingent from Jammu and Kashmir to participate in the 29th National Youth Festival-Viksit Bharat Young Leaders’ Dialogue-2026 in New Delhi. The event aims to empower youth and promote unity, aligning with the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047
In his address, Sinha emphasized the importance of youth in shaping a developed India, saying, "Youth is not a matter about age. It is the mindset. It is about courage, curiosity, and the power to bring about change.” He urged the youth to make their dreams their sole purpose and consider challenges as lessons in discipline and patience.
The National Youth Festival, commemorating Swami Vivekananda’s birth anniversary, features the Viksit Bharat Challenge Track and Cultural/Innovation Track. The J&K contingent will represent the state at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, from January, 10-12-2026
The Lieutenant Governor expressed confidence in the youth’s potential, stating, "I have complete faith in our Youth’s potential and their resolve to shape a developed India.” He encouraged the youth to be bold, fearless, and think beyond boundaries, emphasizing that true leadership is about creating opportunities for others.
The event is expected to bring together talented youth from across the country, promoting cultural exchange, innovation, and collaboration. The J&K contingent is set to make a mark in the festival, showcasing their skills and talents on the national stage.
