Srinagar,March 26,(NSR): Asia’s largest tulip garden, located on the foothills of the Zabarwan range in Srinagar, has been thrown open for tourists, marking the beginning of the new tourist season. The garden was thrown open by chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir Mr omar Abdullah, on this occasion omar Abdullah said, "The tulip garden is a symbol of Kashmir’s natural beauty and rich cultural heritage. We welcome tourists from all over the world to visit j&k and experience its beauty and hospitality.”
The Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden, which is spread over 30 hectares of land, features over 1.5 million tulips of various colors, including red, yellow, pink, purple and white. The garden also has a lake, walking trails, and a variety of flowers, including daffodils, hyacinths, and ranunculuses. .
The tulip garden is a major tourist attraction in Kashmir, and its opening is expected to boost tourism in the state.
The tulip garden will remain open for visitors for a month, and tourists are expected to flock to the garden to witness its beauty.(NSR)
