Kulgam, Mar 18, The National Conference on Tuesday commemorated the 31st death anniversary of its veteran leader, Late Wali Mohammad Itoo, in DH Pora, Kulgam. Party leaders paid rich tributes to him for his contributions in strengthening the party across Jammu and Kashmir.
Late Itoo, father of Cabinet Minister Sakina Itoo, was assassinated on March 18, 1994. Remembering his legacy, leaders acknowledged his sacrifice for democracy, human dignity, and public service, stating that his contributions will be remembered for generations.
Among those present were Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Kumar Choudhary, Advisor to CM Nasir Aslam Wani, Cabinet Minister Sakina Itoo, Provincial President Shoket Hussain Mir, party spokesperson Imran Nabi Dar, and other senior leaders.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy CM Choudhary also addressed the recent Qazigund incident, urging the Home Department to conduct a fair and transparent inquiry to prevent such occurrences in the future.
