In a significant development, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the empanelment of Syed Javaid Mujtaba Gilani, a 1994-batch IPS officer of the AGMUT cadre, for holding posts at the Director General (DG) or equivalent level at the Centre.
