*INDIA Bloc Slams Electoral Roll Revision in Bihar, Alleges "Vote Chori”*

New Delhi, August 18:

  • The INDIA bloc, comprising prominent leaders like Mallikarjun Kharge, Akhilesh Yadav, Abhishek Banerjee, and Kanimozhi, has launched a scathing attack on the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Bihar, alleging that the process is being manipulated to favor the BJP. The opposition claims that the SIR is being used to rig elections by deleting and adding voter names unfairly, constituting "vote chori” or vote theft.

The INDIA bloc has expressed strong concerns over the alleged manipulation of electoral rolls, stating that it undermines the democratic process and denies citizens their right to vote. The leaders have demanded that the Election Commission of India takes immediate action to address these concerns and ensure a free and fair electoral process.

The controversy has sparked heated debates and protests in Parliament, with the INDIA bloc demanding action against alleged electoral manipulation. The Election Commission has dismissed the allegations, stating that the SIR process is transparent and involves all stakeholders, including representatives of political parties.

The INDIA bloc’s protest highlights the growing tensions between the opposition and the ruling party over electoral reforms and the role of the Election Commission. As the electoral landscape in Bihar continues to evolve, the INDIA bloc’s allegations of "vote chori” are likely to remain a contentious issue.
