Srinagar, Mar 07: A large number of faithful gathered at the historic Jama Masjid Nowhatta Srinagar on the first Friday of the holy month of Ramadan.
Speaking on the occasion, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, as per a statement issued to news agency Kashmir Bulletin, highlighted the immense significance of this blessed month, emphasizing that it provides a profound opportunity to connect with Allah.
Mirwaiz stressed the importance of Taqwa (piety and consciousness of Allah), stating that by embracing it, we can transform ourselves into better individuals and collectively build a better society. He urged the congregation to utilize this holy month for self-reflection, spiritual growth, and acts of righteousness.
