ADGP Armed J&K Reviews Functioning of IRP Battalions at Parihaspora Complex

 

 

Parihaspora, Srinagar -May 20-CNS :- Shri Anand Jain, IPS, Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Armed Jammu & Kashmir, along with Shri Junaid Mehmood, IPS, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) IRP Kashmir, conducted a detailed visit to the Armed Police Complex at Parihaspora, Pattan today. The purpose of the visit was to review the functioning and operational preparedness of the IRP 3rd and IRP 9th Battalions stationed at the complex.

Upon arrival, Shri Jain was accorded a warm welcome by the concerned Commandants and was presented with a ceremonial Guard of Honour by a joint contingent of both battalions.

The ADGP carried out a comprehensive inspection of various unit establishments and allied offices to assess infrastructure, discipline, and operational readiness. During a special Darbar convened on the occasion, Shri Jain interacted with the personnel and assured them that all legitimate concerns would be addressed at the Armed Police Headquarters level.

As part of the visit, the ADGP initiated a plantation drive within the complex premises, planting Chinar and pine saplings. He also inaugurated a newly developed Recreation Hall facility for the IRP 9th Battalion.

Addressing the gathering, Shri Jain emphasized the grave psychological, social, and cultural consequences of substance abuse and urged personnel to stay away from drugs. He commended the dedication of the troops and encouraged their active participation in ongoing refresher training programs.

Focusing on digital safety, the ADGP stressed the importance of cyber security awareness, advising personnel to exercise caution on social media platforms and adhere to data protection protocols.

In light of the forthcoming Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2025, Shri Jain instructed officers and personnel to maintain heightened vigilance and operational readiness to ensure a smooth and secure pilgrimage.

He further emphasized the importance of cleanliness within the premises and directed regular sanitation drives to maintain hygiene standards. Additionally, he instructed the Commandants to ensure periodic medical check-ups for all personnel to promote overall health and well-being.

Among those present during the visit were Shri Syed Mubashir Hussain, Commandant IRP 9th Battalion; Shri Javid Iqbal, SSP Commandant IRP 3rd Battalion; Shri Surjit Kumar, SSP Commandant IRP 20th Battalion; Shri Paramjit Singh, Commandant IRP 21st Battalion; Shri Munir Ahmed, SSP, APCR Kashmir; and other senior officers.(CNS)
