Srinagar, July 12, NSR: A delegation of the People’s Democratic Front (PDF) led by its President, Hakeem Mohammad Yaseen, met Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha at Raj Bhavan, Srinagar, today. The delegation included PDF Vice President Showkat Ahmad Raina, General Secretary Dr. Nissar Paul, Chief Spokesperson Mushtaq Shameem, and District President Srinagar Sheikh Ab Rashid.
During the meeting, the delegation apprised the Lieutenant Governor of the prevailing socio-economic situation in Kashmir and the pressing need to generate employment avenues for the unemployed youth in the region. Hakeem Yaseen expressed deep concern over the extended closure of key tourist destinations in Budgam district, including Doodhpathri, Tosamaidan, and Yousmarg, which has severely impacted the local economy.
Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha assured the delegation that the ban on these tourist spots would be lifted soon, providing relief to the local population and boosting the region’s economy. The assurance has brought hope to the people of Budgam district, who are eagerly awaiting the reopening of these popular tourist destinations.
