According to a statement issued by the Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Vijay Kumar Bidhuri, the yatra hasn’t been released on the tracks from both base camps, Baltal and Nunwan/Chandanwari, because of the adverse weather conditions.

So far, over 3.93 lakh pilgrims have paid obeisance at the Holy Cave Shrine during the Shri Amarnathji Yatra 2025. The yatra is expected to resume depending on the weather conditions, with authorities closely monitoring the situation.

The safety of the pilgrims remains the top priority, and the administration is working to restore normalcy as soon as possible. The Amarnath Yatra, an annual pilgrimage to the Amarnath cave, began on July 3 and will conclude on August 9.
