Srinagar, July 30, 2025 – Former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Ghulam Nabi Azad, met with Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha today to discuss various issues concerning the people of Jammu and Kashmir. During their meeting, Azad raised several key concerns, including the long-pending demand for the construction of Chenab House for the people of the erstwhile Doda District.

 

The Chenab House project aims to provide temporary lodging facilities for patients and attendants referred to Jammu for emergency medical treatment, as well as accommodation for poor and needy students visiting Jammu to appear in various examinations. Azad also requested the Lieutenant Governor to consider initiating similar projects for residents of remote and hilly areas like Tangdar and Gurez.

 

The meeting highlighted Azad’s commitment to addressing the needs and concerns of the people of Jammu and Kashmir, and his efforts to push for developmental projects in the region. The discussion between Azad and the Lieutenant Governor is expected to bring attention to the long-pending demands of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
